NATIONAL BAKE AND TAKE MONTH CELEBRATION
Manhattan, Kan. February 23, 2022 – The Home Baking Association is hosting a Zoom Forum honoring the 50th Anniversary of Bake and Take Month. The hour-long forum will take place on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 7 p.m. eastern time. It is an excellent chance for baking enthusiasts to connect and share recipes, explore latest developments in packaging and look at test kitchens.
Participants will learn about the history of Bake and Take Month and receive vintage remakes on four of the popular recipes by the Kansas Wheat Commission test kitchen director, Cindy Falk. They will meet Corporate Chef Stephanie Petersen, Panhandle Milling’s test kitchen, to gain the latest innovations for baking and taking! Good Natured will overview what’s available in plant-based bakery packaging. The Home Baking Association staff will send all attending the Live Forum downloadable resources, recipes and an extra gift offer.
Bake and Take was established by the Kansas Wheathearts in the 1970s. The goal was to spread goodwill among friends, family and community by baking goods and sharing them with others. This National Month has been observed and celebrated by multiple presidents, governors across many states and locally by friends and neighbors for decades.
