Betty Bunck

Betty Bunck became a spokesperson after serving on the Kansas Wheat Commission.

This Everest wheat and certified seed producer represented District No. 6, which includes 40 northeast and southeast Kansas counties. Bunck was appointed commissioner in 1998 and succeeded her late husband John Bunck, who served on the KWC from 1996 to 1998. At her first board meeting, she was elected Secretary / Treasurer. Betty served as a KWC representative to the Wheat Foods Council.

The Buncks own and operate Bunck Seed Farms, a 3,500 acre family seed business. Her three sons, Tom, Joe and Robert, are also involved. Betty is a member of the Kansas Crop Improvement Association, the Kansas Seed Industry Association, Kansas Corn Growers, Kansas Soybean Association, and is an AgriPro Seeds Inc. Wheat Associate. In 1982, Betty and John were awarded the Kansas Master Farmer / Homemaker award.
